Tooth coloured fillings
Composite fillings, or tooth-coloured fillings, are used in small to mid-size fillings that need to withstand moderate pressure. They can be used on either front or back teeth. They are a good choice for people who prefer that their fillings look natural.
Pulpectomy
When the nerve of a baby’s tooth becomes infected, a Pulpectomy can save the tooth. A pulpectomy is a dental procedure in which all the pulp in the pulp chamber and root canal of a tooth is removed. This procedure is recommended when the pulp has become infected and the infection cannot be resolved. The goal of the procedure is to prevent the infected pulp from spreading the infection that could lead to the loss of one or more teeth.
Pulpotomy
Children get cavities sometimes. When a cavity gets really deep, close to the pulp of a tooth or even into the pulp, the pulpal tissue becomes irritated and inflamed.
A pulpotomy involves removal of the inflamed pulp chamber, usually from a baby molar, sterilisation of the area and sealing of the chamber. If the inflammation and infection continues without treatment, the tooth will eventually form abscess. In baby molars, a pulpotomy is used in the process of trying to save and restore the tooth.
After a pulpotomy on a baby molar, it is usually necessary to place a stainless steel crown to restore the tooth. Pulpotomies have reasonably good prognosis, but cannot save an already abscessed tooth.
Crib - The thumb-sucking habit breaker
Thumb-sucking is a common habit among children. While it is common, it makes sense to put a halt to it before it becomes a long-term habit as it can cause problems with chewing, speech and facial appearance. Regular strong thumb sucking can make the front teeth move and can even reshape the jaw bone. Upper front teeth can flare out and tip upward while lower front teeth can move back and inward.
The initial orthodontic treatment is the placement of a crib to break the habit.

When should thumb sucking stop?
Sucking is a natural behavior for babies. Many infants begins sucking their thumbs or using pacifiers within three months of birth. Neither habit generally poses a dental problem if it is discontinued before the child’s first permanent teeth erupt.
